Shikarni “Nepalese Sweet Dessert”

This dessert is a very simple, healthy and quick recipe. There is no boundaries what to add inside. It can be any dry fruits with basic ingredients.
This is eaten mostly every part of Nepal after a meal either lunch or dinner and can be eaten in brunch as well. In this crucial period of time if you have basic ingredients you can make this within 10 minutes of time.

Ingredients
  

  • 200 gm Yoghurt
  • 10 gm Cinnamon Powder
  • 5 gm Red raisin
  • 10 gm Cashew nuts
  • 10 gm dry figs
  • 8 gm dry peach
  • 3 gm cardamom powder
  • 15 gm Icing sugar optional
  • 20 ml cream optional
  • 10 gm Pistachio chopped

Instructions
 

  • Take a mixing bowl enough to hold the quantity of yoghurt.
  • Pour yoghurt, cream and icing sugar together. Start whisking altogether and if you don't want too sweet you can remove icing sugar from it.
  • After you mix the ingredients above, when the consistency is fluffy and smooth then add the other ingredients altogether.
  • Don't mix too much let the dry nuts be crunchy still while other ingredients can be well mixed.
  • After mixing done taste the sweetness from the mixer . If you find the sweetness is enough for you then pour in a bowl where you want to serve.
  • Sprinkle some nuts crushed roughly on top and garnish with fresh mint to make it wow.

Notes

  • You can add any sort of dry fruits and nuts you love in your yoghurt. Sugar is always an optional to your recipe.
  • You can skip the sugar if you are not sweet lover since we know yoghurt contains natural sugar in it which makes it tasty.
