Ingredients
For the Soya Mixture
- 2 cup Soya Flakes
- 1 cup Peas fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup Cottage Cheese grated
- 1/4 cup Oatmeal rolled oats
- 1 Onion finely chopped, medium-sized
- 1 Carrot finely grated
- 2 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 2 Chilies finely chopped, green
- 1 tbsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Pepper black, freshly ground
- 2 tbsp Coriander finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Chaat Masala
Instructions
Prepare the Soya Mixture
- Soak soya flakes in hot water for 5 minutes. Drain well.
- Boil peas until softened. Drain.
- Combine the soaked soya flakes, boiled peas, and grated paneer in a food processor. Pulse for 5 seconds until coarsely minced. Do not over-process.
- In a large bowl, combine the minced soya mixture with the onion, carrot, ginger-garlic paste, green chilies, oatmeal, garam masala, black pepper, coriander, chaat masala, and salt. Mix thoroughly.
Shape and Grill the Skewers
- Let the mixture rest for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld. Lightly grease your hands with olive oil.
- Shape the soya mixture into oblong pieces suitable for your skewers. Thread the mixture onto the skewers.
- Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).
- Brush the skewers lightly with olive oil. Grill in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, and brushing with oil to ensure even browning.
Serve
- Sprinkle with extra chaat masala. Serve hot, optionally with small pieces of raw onion and your favorite chutney.
