Chipotle-style Pico de gallo is Mexican Salsa which has chunks of tomatoes, onion and cilantro leaves unlike the other version of Mexican liquid salsa. It looks more like a salad than a watery tomato sauce. If you are wondering what does Pico de gallo mean? Well, It means rooster's beak because people traditionally ate it with their thumb and forefinger which resembled more like a rooster's beak. Making this salsa is very easy and simple. Ingredients
- 2 Onion Red medium sized
- 3 Tomato Ripe but firm
- 1/2 cup Cilantro Fresh, chopped
- 1 Jalapeno
- 1/2 cup Lime
- Salt as per taste

- Roughly chop tomatoes, and keep it aside. Peel off the onion skin and chop it too.
- Chop Cilantro leaves. Throw all the three ingredients in a bowl.
- Add in canned jalapeno which is already sliced. Around 5-6 slices were enough to give the hot taste to the salsa.
- Squeeze in fresh lime juice and add salt has per taste. Taste the salsa and adjust salt and lime juice accordingly. Serve it with Taco, Quesadilla, Nachos or Mexican rice.
