Ingredients

- 2 cup Hung Yogurt also known as chakka. hang plain yogurt in cheesecloth for 3-4 hours to drain excess whey., greek yogurt
- 8 tsp Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Nutmeg ground
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder elaichi
- 8 strands Saffron Strands soaked in 1 tablespoon of lukewarm milk
For the Custard Apple Component
- 3/4 cup Custard Apple Pulp sieve for a smoother texture.
For Garnishing
- 1/4 cup Pistachios chopped
- 1/2 cup Semi-Sweet Chocolate optional, for garnish
Instructions
Prepare the Shrikhand
- Combine hung yogurt and sugar in a bowl. Whisk until smooth and creamy.
- Add nutmeg, cardamom powder, and saffron (with its soaking milk). Mix well.
Incorporate Custard Apple
- Gently fold in the custard apple pulp. Mix until evenly distributed.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours to chill and allow flavors to meld.
Garnish and Serve
- Transfer the chilled Kesari Sitaphal Shrikhand to serving bowls.
