Ingredients

- 3 cup Whole Wheat Flour atta (indian whole wheat flour). you can substitute with all-purpose flour for a different texture., whole
- 1.5 tsp Salt
- 1.5 tsp Active Yeast dry
- 1.5 tbsp Sugar granulated sugar is recommended.
Instructions

- Combine ¼ cup of lukewarm water and the sugar in a small bowl. Sprinkle the yeast over the mixture and let stand for 10 minutes until foamy.
Combine Ingredients and Knead
- In a large bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Add the activated yeast mixture and oil. Knead the dough for 12-15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Perform the windowpane test (stretch a small piece of dough; if it's thin and translucent without tearing, it's ready).
First Rise
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm place for 1-1.5 hours, or until doubled in size.
Shape and Second Rise
- Gently punch down the dough. Grease a rectangular bread pan. Place the dough into the pan, seam-side down. Let rise again for about 1 hour, or until the dough reaches the top of the pan.
