Instructions
Prepare the Flax Egg
- Mix 1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal with 3 tablespoons of water. Set aside for 10-15 minutes to thicken.
Melt the Chocolate
- Melt 0.25 cup of finely chopped white chocolate with 1 teaspoon of coconut oil using a double boiler method. Let cool slightly.
Combine Dry Ingredients
- Whisk together the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Combine Wet Ingredients
- In a separate large bowl, whisk together the coconut sugar and coconut milk until the sugar dissolves. Add the flax egg and mix gently.
Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
- Add the melted white chocolate and olive oil to the wet ingredients. Gently fold in the dry ingredients and desiccated coconut until just combined. Do not overmix.
Preheat Oven and Prepare Pan

Make the White Chocolate Glaze
- In a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water (double boiler), melt the white chocolate chips, coconut oil, and coconut milk until smooth and pourable.
Glaze and Serve
- Once the donuts are completely cool, dip each donut in the glaze, allowing excess to drip off. Let the glaze set completely before serving.
Recipe Notes
Expert Tips
- For a richer flavor, use high-quality white chocolate couverture.
- Don't overmix the batter, as this can result in tough donuts.
- If you don't have a donut pan, you can bake these in a muffin tin – just adjust the baking time accordingly.
- Get creative with toppings! Sprinkles, chopped nuts, or even a dusting of powdered sugar would be delicious additions.
