Instructions
- First of all combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Now heat some water(lukewarm) and add honey to it and dissolve fresh yeast keep it covered in a warmer and darker place to bloom.once it shows froth and rise it means it is well bloomed to use.
- Make a well in the dry ingredients and and pour the yeast mixture and knead the dough using water and soya milk together (it should be warm) till the gluten is formed. At this stage the dough would appear little sticky but never mind .
- You can use little more dry flour and take it out on your kitchen platform pull and stretch more till it starts stitching in one go. At this stage incorporate butter or oil so that it doesn't stick to the surface.
- At this stage when it comes along start beating the dough like dhobhi pachad...😉😉..you can take out all your grudges during this exercise a good muscle exercise you see...do it for almost 10 mnts till the dough appears to be well formed.
- Insert a finger if it bounces back it is ready.Meanwhile divide the dough in two parts and add Coco to one part and make ball of the dough apply oil on both doughs and keep them covered with a moist cloth and in a warmer and darker place for an hour
- This is going to be the first proving..once the dough is double in size knock it back knead delicately for 2 minutes and roll it with a rolling pin like chapati little thicker and cut the donut shapes either with mold or using any sharp edges glass
- Keep the donuts covered in a greased tray with a moist cloth for the second rise it will take about 20 mnts or so once you find them double in size either you bake or fry up to you. For baking you need to brush it with milk .
- For frying make sure you fry on medium heat on both sides. Meanwhile you can melt both the chocolates in separate bowls in double boiler and for compote combine strawberries ,honey, and cornflour in a micro safe bowl and micro for 2nts and it done.
- Now remove the donuts from oven and heat dip them in chocolate and sprinle with CHOCOCHIPS and muesly or nuts absolutely your choice. Few of them I rolled in castor sugar as well.
Recipe Notes
Additional Tips
- For extra crunch, sprinkle a mixture of toasted oats and finely chopped nuts (like almonds or hazelnuts) over the donuts immediately after glazing.
- If you prefer a denser donut, substitute half of the wheat flour with spelt or rye flour, which also adds a subtle earthy flavor that pairs well with honey and cocoa.
- To make a vegan version, replace honey with maple syrup or agave nectar and ensure you use a plant-based chocolate or cocoa powder without milk additives.
- For a visually appealing finish, drizzle with a contrasting glaze—try a simple vanilla glaze on chocolate donuts and a light chocolate drizzle on vanilla donuts.
