Ingredients
For the Thalipith
- 4 Potato boiled and mashed
- 1/2 cup Moraiya Khichadi
- 3 tbsp Rajgira Flour amaranth flour
- 2 tbsp Moraiya Flour
- 2 tsp Ginger Paste
- 2 tsp Chili Paste green
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 2 tbsp Oil for shallow frying
For Garnish
- 1-2 tbsp Cheese grated, processed
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Mash the boiled potatoes thoroughly. Add the Moraiya Khichadi and mix well to combine.
- Incorporate the Rajgira flour and Moraiya flour gradually, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms.
- Add the ginger paste, green chili paste, salt, lemon juice, and sugar. Mix everything together until well combined.
Shape and Fry the Thalipith
- Divide the dough into equal-sized portions. Roll each portion into a small ball and gently flatten it into a small, round patty (similar to a puri).
- Heat oil in a shallow pan or skillet over medium heat.
- Carefully place the Thalipith patties in the hot oil and shallow fry them, flipping them halfway through, until they turn golden brown on both sides.
Serve
- Remove the fried Thalipith from the pan and drain any excess oil.
- Serve the Thalipith hot, garnished with grated processed cheese.
