Ingredients
Asparagus
- 1 bunch Asparagus about 1 pound
Seasoning & Cheese
- 1 tbsp Parmesan Cheese grated
- 1 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground
- 1/2 tsp Salt or to taste
Instructions
- Snap off the tough ends of the asparagus. Rinse the asparagus spears and pat them dry.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it. Burnt garlic will taste bitter.
- Add the asparagus to the skillet and sauté for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the spears are tender-crisp and have a light char. This develops a delicious roasted flavor.
- Season the asparagus with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Freshly ground pepper offers a brighter, more complex flavor.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the asparagus and toss gently to combine. Serve immediately.
