Expert Tips for the Best Homemade Granola
- Adjust sweetness to your liking: Feel free to reduce or increase the amount of brown sugar or maple syrup based on your preference.
- Get creative with add-ins: Experiment with other nuts, seeds, dried fruits (such as cranberries, raisins, or chopped dates), or even chocolate chips!
- Watch for burning: Ovens vary, so keep an eye on your granola while it bakes. Start checking for doneness around 25 minutes.
- For extra crunch: Let the granola cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking it up. This helps to retain its crispiness.
