Ingredients
Banana Mixture
- 300 gm Banana green, raw
- 2 Tbsp Textured Soy Protein nutrela
- 2 Tbsp Gram Flour besan
- 2 Tbsp Chili chopped, green
- 1 Tbsp Garam Masala
- Salt to taste
For Frying
- Oil as required
Instructions
- Boil the raw green bananas until tender. This will make them easier to mash.
- Peel the boiled bananas and mash them thoroughly in a mixing bowl.
- Add the textured soy protein, gram flour, chopped green chillies, garam masala, and salt to the mashed bananas.
- Mix all the ingredients together until they are well combined.
- Shape the mixture into finger-like shapes. Make sure they are relatively uniform in size so they cook evenly.
- Allow the shaped banana fingers to rest for 5 minutes. This helps them firm up and prevents them from breaking apart while frying.
- Heat the oil in a deep pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Carefully place the banana fingers in the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown and crispy, turning them occasionally for even cooking.
- Remove the fried banana fingers from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
