Ingredients
 

For the Tikkis

  • 1 cup Rolled Oats soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
  • 1 medium Potato boiled until very soft, then mashed
  • 1/2 cup Nutrela Granules soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
  • 1-2 Chili finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference); or substitute with 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro, green
  • 2 tsp Ginger finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Cumin Seeds dry roasted until fragrant
  • 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice adds brightness, optional

For Frying

  • 2 tbsp Oil vegetable or canola oil

Instructions
 

Prepare the Tikki Mixture

  • Combine soaked oats, mashed potatoes, soaked Nutrela granules, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, salt, and lemon juice (if using) in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until well combined.

Shape and Fry the Tikkis

  • Form the mixture into small, flat patties (about 1/2 inch thick).

Cook the Tikkis

  • Heat oil in a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Carefully place the tikkis in the hot oil and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy.

Serve
