- 1 cup Rolled Oats soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
- 1 medium Potato boiled until very soft, then mashed
- 1/2 cup Nutrela Granules soaked in water for at least 30 minutes
- 1-2 Chili finely chopped (adjust to your spice preference); or substitute with 1 tablespoon finely chopped cilantro, green
- 2 tsp Ginger finely chopped
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds dry roasted until fragrant
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice adds brightness, optional
For Frying
- 2 tbsp Oil vegetable or canola oil
Instructions
Prepare the Tikki Mixture
- Combine soaked oats, mashed potatoes, soaked Nutrela granules, green chilies, ginger, cumin seeds, salt, and lemon juice (if using) in a large bowl. Mix thoroughly until well combined.
Shape and Fry the Tikkis
- Form the mixture into small, flat patties (about 1/2 inch thick).
Cook the Tikkis
