Ingredients
Pasta
- 8 oz Fettuccine Pasta about 1 cup after boiling
Sauce
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
- 2 clove Garlic finely chopped
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground
Instructions
How to boil Fettuccine pasta
- Bring 2 cups of water to a rolling boil in a large pot. Add 1 tsp salt. This helps season the pasta and increases the boiling point of the water. Add the fettuccine pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. This means the pasta should be firm to the bite, not mushy.
How to make Simple and cheesy Alfredo sauce
- Melt 2 Tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the finely chopped garlic and sauté for about 2 minutes, or until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the garlic, as this can make the sauce bitter.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir continuously. Reduce the heat to low and simmer gently for about 5 minutes, allowing the sauce to slightly thicken.
- Add the grated Parmesan cheese and stir constantly for about 2 minutes until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth and creamy.
- Season the Alfredo sauce with salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked fettuccine to the Alfredo sauce and toss gently to coat the noodles evenly. Serve immediately.
