Ingredients
Raita Base
- 1 cup Hung Yogurt or greek yogurt
- ½ cup Cucumber grated
Flavor & Texture
- 2 tsp Sabja Seeds
- 2 tsp Almonds or raisins/raisin paste
- ¼ tsp Salt black
- ¼ tsp Moringa Masala or garam masala
Instructions
- In a bowl, gently whisk the hung curd or Greek yogurt until smooth. This creates a creamy base for the raita.
- Add the grated cucumber to the yogurt. Mix well to combine.
- Soak the sabja seeds in water for at least 10-15 minutes until they swell and become gelatinous. This adds a unique texture to the raita.
- Add the soaked sabja seeds, almonds (or raisins/raisin paste), and black salt to the yogurt mixture. Stir gently to incorporate.
- Finally, sprinkle the moringa masala (or garam masala) over the raita for an aromatic finish. This adds a depth of flavor and a touch of spice.
