Recipe Notes

Additional Tips

  • For extra crispiness, lightly brush the bread slices with melted butter or olive oil before shaping them into cups and air frying.
  • To prevent sogginess from juicy vegetables like tomatoes, pat them dry with a paper towel before adding to the cups, or layer a sprinkle of cheese first to act as a moisture barrier.
  • Experiment with flavor by adding a sprinkle of Italian seasoning or chili flakes to the mayonnaise mixture before filling the cups for a more authentic pizza kick.
  • If making ahead, assemble the cups with all toppings except cheese, refrigerate, and add cheese just before air frying to ensure the cheese melts perfectly and the bread stays crisp.
