This timeless beverage is the ultimate way to beat the summer heat. Instructions

  • Squeeze the lemons in a bowl and separate the seeds.
  • Add sugar, black salt and salt in the lemon juice.
  • Add enough water into it and stir well until the sugar dissolves.
  • Take ice cubes in glasses and pour the mixture into each glass and serve chilled. I have avoided ice and used chilled water instead.

Recipe Notes

Additional Tips

  • For an extra layer of aroma and flavor, lightly muddle a few fresh mint leaves in the glass before adding the Nimbu Pani mixture.
  • If you prefer a sparkling version, substitute half the water with chilled club soda just before serving for a fizzy twist.
  • To make a travel-friendly concentrate, mix lemon juice, sugar, black salt, and regular salt in advance; store it in the fridge, and simply dilute with cold water and ice as needed.
  • For a subtle spicy kick, add a small pinch of roasted cumin powder or a few slices of fresh ginger while mixing the drink.
