The festive vibe of Diwali is already here. Markets and houses are lit up and the celebrations are slowly catching up pace. Some of us like to order food from outside and some of like to cook at home.

1. Dahi Aloo Chaat
This Dahi Aloo chaat is a perfect Option to have during this Navratri Fasting Days, These Aloo tikki are made with Boiled Aloo, Buckwheat Flour (Kuttu ka Aata), Some regular spices, Mint leaves and lots of Coriander leaves. Topped with Plain Yogurt and again Coriander leaves and Red chili powder.
Beguni is the delicious pakodas from Kolkata, made with brinjal. Slices of egg plant or brinjal dipped in a Besan batter, deep fried.
3. Mutter Dry Fruit Kebab
Mutter kebabs filled with dry fruits cooked in pure ghee
4. Chaman Qaliya
Chaman Qaliya is a creamy cottage cheese curry scented with fennel and cardamom that belongs to Kashmiri Cuisine.
An aromatic curry that is cooked in milk and flavored with Kashmiri spices is a perfect vegetarian side dish commonly served on special occasions in the valley.
5. Malai Matar Paneer
Paneer is my favorite, as we can make so many types of dishes using this single ingredient. Malai Matar Paneer is a vegetarian dish braised in cashew based gravy.
6. Himachali Pulao
A pulao full of nuts, spices and cherries. A burst of flavours for sure
7. Egg Korma
Korma is a rich spiced gravy made with yogurt, cream, and nut paste. I do try to include something different in my culinary experiments, so this time for egg korma, I made use of Sambal Olek, a spicy red chili garlic paste which is mainly used in Malaysian or Thai cuisine.
8. Methi Murgh – Fenugreek Chicken
Fenugreek or methi leaves is a very nutritious green leafy vegetables and when added with chicken, infuses a special flavor.
9. Murg Saagwala / Spicy Spinach Chicken Curry
A scrumptious, spicy and creamy Spinach Chicken that is a winter special Punjabi curry. This one needs some considerable time though.
10. Dal Fry Restaurant Style
If you are craving for restaurant style dal fry at home then this recipe is a must try. Making this recipe is very easy and doesn’t consume much of time, everyone who has tasted my restaurant style dal fry is in love with it.
11. Carrot Fudge / Gajar Halwa Milk Barfi
You must have tried carrot halwa or carrot fudge/gajar milk barfi, but have you ever tried into pie plate like have shown over here? If no then must try on this Diwali to impress your guests or loved ones as it’s very attractive and rich in look and delicious in taste!
