Walnuts! The first thing that comes to the mind is it’s good for Brain. Walnuts are an excellent source Omega-3 Fatty Acids and they are rich in Antioxidants. Walnut & Dates Halwa is very rich in Nutrients – as it contains other ingredients as well along with Indian Ghee.

Ingredients
- Chopped seedless Dates / Khajur 1 cup
- Chopped Walnuts / Akhrot 1 cup
- Milk 1 cup
- Khoya / Mawa ¼ cup
- Sugar ¼ cup
- Clarified Butter / Desi Ghee 2 tsp
- Cardamom Powder / Elaichi Powder ¼ tsp
- Saffron / Kesar for Garnishing as required

Instructions
- In a cooking pan, add 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.
- To that add 1 cup of finely chopped seedless Dates (Khajur) and stir for 2 to 3 Mins.
- Then add 1 cup of Milk and stir continuously until the Milk is reduced down (approx. 5 Mins).
- Furthermore, add 1 cup of roughly chopped Walnuts and give a nice mix for 2 Mins.
- Then add ¼ cup of Mawa (Khoya), ¼ cup of Sugar, ¼ tsp of Cardamom (Elaichi) powder and mix well.
- Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 2 Min.
- Dates & Walnut Halwa is ready to serve hot and garnish with Kesar.
