    Walnuts! The first thing that comes to the mind is it’s good for Brain. Walnuts are an excellent source Omega-3 Fatty Acids and they are rich in Antioxidants. Walnut & Dates Halwa is very rich in Nutrients – as it contains other ingredients as well along with Indian Ghee.

    Ingredients
      

    • Chopped seedless Dates / Khajur 1 cup
    • Chopped Walnuts / Akhrot 1 cup
    • Milk 1 cup
    • Khoya / Mawa ¼ cup
    • Sugar ¼ cup
    • Clarified Butter / Desi Ghee 2 tsp
    • Cardamom Powder / Elaichi Powder ¼ tsp
    • Saffron / Kesar for Garnishing as required

    Instructions
     

    • In a cooking pan, add 2 tsp of Ghee and allow it to heat.
    • To that add 1 cup of finely chopped seedless Dates (Khajur) and stir for 2 to 3 Mins.
    • Then add 1 cup of Milk and stir continuously until the Milk is reduced down (approx. 5 Mins).
    • Furthermore, add 1 cup of roughly chopped Walnuts and give a nice mix for 2 Mins.
    • Then add ¼ cup of Mawa (Khoya), ¼ cup of Sugar, ¼ tsp of Cardamom (Elaichi) powder and mix well.
    • Cover the lid and cook on low flame for 2 Min.
    • Dates & Walnut Halwa is ready to serve hot and garnish with Kesar.
