Ingredients
  

  • Onion - 250 gm
  • Ginger garlic paste - 2-3 tablespoon
  • Tomatoes - 150 gm
  • Green chillies - 3-4
  • Chicken - 700 gm
  • Basmati rice - 500 gm
  • Cummin seeds - 1 tablespoon
  • Mustard oil - 10 tablespoon
  • Turmeric powder - 1 tablespoon
  • Coriander/cummin powder - 1-2 tablespoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1tablespoon
  • Balck pepper powder - 1 Tablespoon
  • Fresh corriender for garnishing

Instructions
 

  • Put pressure-cooker on flame and pour mustard oil into it, when smoke starts lower the flame and put cummin seed and instantly add onions. Increase flame and cook until onions turns dark brown, now add ginger garlic paste, cook for 1 minute.
  • Add chicken pieces, cook for 5-6 minutes and add tomato and green chilli paste, cook for 5 minutes and add Turmeric powder, cummin and coriander powder, red chilli powder, black pepper powder, and cook for 10-12 minutes.
  • Now put rice on top of cooked chicken, but do not mix it with chicken, pour 2 glasses of water slowly into cooker and put on the lid, cook until 1 whistle, close the flame and let the steam do the rest of the cooking.
  • Meal for 4-5 people is ready, Garnish with green chillies and fresh corriender leaves, serve with mint yogurt.
