Methi dana aloo khichdi is famous recipe in North india. This recipe is specially prepared in winter n rainy season. Healthy khichdi recipe which cooked with potatoes and ghee.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup fenugreek seeds soaked overnight
  • 2 large potatoes cut into pieces
  • 2 cup basmati rice
  • 4 green chillies roughly chopped
  • Salt
  • 1/4 cup clarified butter

Instructions
 

  • Take soaked fenugreek seeds and boil it along with same water for 3minutes on low flame.
  • Separate water n boiled fenugreek seeds in separate bowls.

  • Now add clarified butter fry boiled fenugreek seeds in it till it turn into pink.

  • Add green chillies and potatoes. Mix it.

  • Add rice, salt and separate water (in which fenugreek boiled earlier). If required then add little more water. Cover the lid and cook it on 3whistles or till rice and potatoes done.

Notes

Do not over cooked or fry fenugreek seeds. Fry only for 2minutes.
