Ingredients
Crust Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Walnuts chopped
- 1/4 cup Almonds
- 1/4 cup Cashews
- 1/4 cup Raisins dried
- 1/4 cup Apricots chopped, dried
- 1 cup Desiccated Coconut unsweetened
- 2 tbsp Honey or maple syrup
- 1 tbsp Chia Seeds or flax seeds
Chocolate Filling Ingredients
- 1 cup Chocolate chopped, dark
- 2 tbsp Almond Milk or soy milk
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Walnuts chopped
- 1 tbsp Optional Honey Or Maple Syrup extra, to taste
Instructions
Prepare the Crust
- Combine walnuts, almonds, cashews, raisins, dried apricots, desiccated coconut, honey, and chia seeds in a food processor. Pulse until a coarse, thick paste forms.
- Press the mixture firmly and evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a tart pan.
Make the Chocolate Filling
- Melt the dark chocolate in a double boiler or in a microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
- Stir in the almond milk and coconut oil until well combined.
- Add the chopped walnuts. Stir to incorporate.
- Taste and add extra honey or maple syrup if desired for extra sweetness.
- Beat the mixture with a fork until smooth and creamy.
- Pour the chocolate filling into the prepared tart crust.
Chill and Serve
- Refrigerate the tart for at least 2 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow it to set completely.
- Once set, slice and serve. Enjoy!
