There are many types of pulao state wise region wise. I made the pulao in Bengali style which is very simple with less ingredients. This type of pulao we can offer as a bhog purpose. During Devi puja or any other festival we cook this recipe.

Ingredients
- 200 gm Rice
- 1 handful Raisin
- 2-3 leaves Bay Leaves (bay)
- 2 tbsp Desi Ghee (homemade)
- 1-2 Saffron Threads
- 1-2 Whole Black Pepper
- 1-2 tsp Salt (or as per taste)

Instructions
- Wash and soak the rice for half an hour. Soak few saffron threads in water.
- Boil the rice it should be half done, not full boil. Then strain the rice water.
- Now take a pan add homemade ghee, bay leaves, whole garam masala, whole black pepper. Then add half done boiled rice. Stir for a few minutes.
- Now add half glass warm water, raisin, soaked saffron and salt. Close the lid and cook until soft. Serve along with other recipe. I served with shallow fried vegetables and chutney.
