Additional Tips
- For extra crunch and flavor, lightly toast the burger buns on a pan with a touch of butter and a sprinkle of chaat masala before assembling the burger.
- If you want a spicier kick, mix some green chutney or a tangy tamarind sauce into your mayonnaise or yogurt spread for a uniquely Indian burger sauce.
- To prevent the potato patty from getting soggy, dust it lightly with cornflour or semolina before pan-frying to create a crisp outer layer that holds up well inside the bun.
- For a vegan version, use plant-based butter and substitute the potato patty with a mixture of mashed chickpeas and sautéed mushrooms, seasoned with garam masala and black pepper.
