Ingredients
For the Peanut Chaat:
- 1 cup Peanuts roasted, salted; you can use store-bought roasted peanuts with or without skin.
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 medium Tomato finely chopped, seeds removed
- 1/2 cup Cucumber finely chopped
- 1/4 cup Coriander fresh, chopped (dhania)
- 1 Chili finely chopped, green, to taste
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Dry Mango Powder dried mango powder
- 1 tsp Cumin Seeds roasted (jeera)
- 1 tsp Chaat Masala to taste
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder to taste, red
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Instructions
Roast the Peanuts
- Dry roast peanuts in a pan over low heat until fragrant, being careful not to burn them. Alternatively, use store-bought roasted peanuts.
Prepare the Chaat
- In a large bowl, combine the chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, cilantro, and green chili.
Add the Spices and Dressing
- Add the roasted cumin seeds, amchur powder (dried mango powder), chaat masala, red chili powder, salt, and lemon juice to the bowl. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
Combine and Serve
- Add the roasted peanuts to the mixture. Gently toss everything together. Serve immediately for the best crunch and flavor.
