Ingredients
For the Patties:
- 1 cup Potato mashed, cooked
- 8 oz Cottage Cheese indian cottage cheese, crumbled
- 1 tbsp Coriander fresh, chopped (dhania)
- 1-2 Chili finely chopped, adjust to taste
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 Lime juice of
- 2 tbsp Breadcrumb
- 1 tbsp Mango Powder amchur, dry
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp Cumin Seed ground (jeera)
- 1 tbsp Chaat Masala
- 1 tbsp Ghee clarified butter, or vegetable oil
For Assembly:
- 2 Burger Buns
- 3 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1 medium Onion thinly sliced into rings
Instructions
Prepare the Patties
- Combine mashed potatoes, crumbled paneer, coriander, chili, ginger-garlic paste, lime juice, breadcrumbs, mango powder, cumin, chaat masala, and salt in a bowl. Mix well.
- Shape the mixture into two round patties.
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan over medium heat. Pan-fry the patties until golden brown and cooked through, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Set aside.
Prepare the Paneer
- Cut paneer into long strips.
- Lightly brush the paneer strips with ghee.
- Bake or grill the paneer until lightly browned and heated through. Set aside.
Assemble the Burgers
- Lightly toast the burger buns.
- Spread mayonnaise evenly on both halves of each bun.
- Place a patty on the bottom bun half.
- Top with baked paneer strips and onion rings.
- Cover with the top bun half.
