Ingredients
For the Paneer Marinade:
- 400 gm Cottage Cheese indian cottage cheese
- 1 cup Yogurt also known as curd
- 1.5 tsp Salt adjust to taste
- 0.5 tsp Chili Powder red
- 0.5 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tbsp Chaat Masala
- 0.25 tsp Cumin Powder also known as jeera powder
- 0.5 tsp Tandoori Masala
- 2 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 pinch Food Coloring optional, red
For Skewering & Grilling:
- 2 Bell Peppers cut into 1-inch cubes, green
- 1 Onion cut into large chunks
- 5 tbsp Butter
- 10 Metal Or Wooden Skewers soaked in water for 30 minutes if wooden
Instructions
Prepare the Paneer Marinade
- Cut the paneer into 2-inch cubes. In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, salt, red chili powder, garam masala, chaat masala, cumin powder, tandoori masala, lemon juice, and food coloring (if using). Add the paneer and mix well to coat.
Marinate and Assemble
- Add the bell pepper and onion cubes to the marinade, mixing thoroughly. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably longer for maximum flavor.
- Thread the marinated paneer, bell peppers, and onions onto the skewers, alternating the ingredients. Aim for 2 paneer cubes per skewer.
