Ingredients
For the Tomato Puree
- 250 gm Tomatoes red tomatoes, ripe
For the Lemonade
- 6 tbsp Sugar adjust to taste
- 100 ml Lemon Juice freshly squeezed
- 500 ml Water chilled water
- 1/2 tsp Salt enhances the flavors, optional
Instructions
Prepare the Tomato Puree
- Wash and roughly chop the tomatoes. Blend the tomatoes in a blender until smooth.
- Strain the tomato puree through a fine-mesh sieve to remove seeds and skins. You may need to do this twice for a completely smooth puree.
Make the Lemonade
- In a pitcher, combine the strained tomato puree, sugar, lemon juice, water, and salt (if using).
- Stir well until the sugar is completely dissolved.
- Taste and adjust the sweetness or tartness as needed.
Serve and Enjoy
- Chill the lemonade in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour for optimal refreshment.
