Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cup Flattened Rice poha, red poha/aval; can substitute with white poha
- 3/4 cup Sugar powdered sugar is recommended
- 1/4 tsp Cardamom Powder

- 1/4 cup Ghee adjust as needed; more ghee creates softer ladoos
Instructions
Prepare the Poha
- Roast the poha in a pan with 2 tablespoons of ghee over low heat until crunchy. Let it cool completely.
Grind and Mix Dry Ingredients
- Grind the cooled poha into a fine powder using a blender or food processor. In a large bowl, combine the powdered poha, powdered sugar, and cardamom powder. Mix well.
Roast Nuts and Raisins
- In the same pan, add the remaining ghee. Add the cashews and sauté until lightly browned. Stir in the raisins and fry until they puff up. Remove from heat.
Combine and Shape Ladoos
- Add the roasted nuts and raisins to the poha mixture. Mix thoroughly. Add additional ghee if necessary to bind the mixture. Roll the mixture into small balls (ladoos).
