Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For a richer flavor, use homemade biscuits instead of store-bought.
  • If you don’t have fresh blueberries, you can substitute with high-quality blueberry jam or preserves, adjusting the sweetness to taste.
  • Toasting the almonds enhances their flavor and adds a nice crunch. Toast them lightly in a dry pan until fragrant.
  • If you want a more intense blueberry flavor, consider adding a tablespoon of blueberry liqueur or extract (optional).
