Ingredients
 

For the Bread

  • 4 slices Bread use your favorite type of bread, or challah., such as white bread, wheat bread
  • 2 tbsp Butter salted or unsalted butter, melted

For the Banana Filling

  • 10 piece Cashews roughly chopped
  • 10 piece Walnuts roughly chopped
  • 10 piece Almonds also known as badam; roughly chopped

Instructions
 

Prepare the Bread

  • Toast the bread slices lightly on both sides in a lightly buttered pan until golden brown. Set aside.

Make the Banana Filling

  • Mash the banana in a bowl until smooth. Add sugar and strawberry syrup. Cook in a pan over medium heat for about 7 minutes, or until thickened.

Prepare the Nut Topping

  • Pulse cashews, walnuts, and almonds in a food processor until coarsely chopped. Set aside.

Assemble the Gateau

  • Cut each bread slice in half. Spread a spoonful of the banana mixture onto each bread half. Sprinkle with the chopped nuts. Top with a half-teaspoon of softened cream cheese and spread lightly.

Finish and Chill

  • Drizzle chocolate syrup over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
