Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
Wet Ingredients
- 2-3 tbsp Clarified Butter adjust as needed for desired consistency
Instructions
Prepare the Poha and Chana Dal
- Dry roast the poha and chana dal in a pan over low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently, until lightly golden and fragrant. Let cool completely.
Toast the Nuts
- Melt the ghee in a small pan over low heat. Add the chopped nuts and toast for 2-3 minutes, or until fragrant and lightly golden. Remove from pan and set aside.
Grind the Ingredients
- In a blender or food processor, combine the cooled poha, chana dal, jaggery powder, toasted nuts, and ground cardamom. Pulse until a coarse powder forms. Do not over-process; some texture is desired.
Make the Ladoos
- Gradually add the ghee to the powder, mixing well until a dough-like consistency forms. If the mixture is too dry, add a little more ghee, one teaspoon at a time. If it is too wet, add a little more poha.
Shape the Ladoos
- Roll the mixture into small balls (ladoos). Use your hands to shape them.
Store the Ladoos
- Store the ladoos in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week.
