Flavor Enhancers
- 1 Chili Pepper dried, red
- 3 cloves Garlic
- Salt to taste
- 2 tsp Oil
Optional Topping
- 1 Tbsp Parmesan Cheese or as needed
Instructions
- Cook the black rice spaghetti according to package directions. Adding a pinch of salt and a drop of oil to the boiling water can prevent sticking.
- Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process and keep it from becoming mushy.
- Chop the okra into small pieces.
- Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and dried red chili. Sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
- Add the chopped okra to the pan and sauté until tender-crisp and slightly browned. Stir occasionally.
- Add the fresh basil leaves to the pan and cook for just another minute to wilt them slightly and release their aroma.
- Add the cooked black rice spaghetti to the pan with the okra and basil mixture. Toss everything together to combine.
- If desired, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese before serving immediately.
