Ingredients
For the Dough
- 1 cup Barley Flour
- 1/2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 3 tbsp Yogurt curd, low-fat
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1/2 cup Water or as needed to form dough
For the Sauce
Toppings (Optional)
- 1/4 cup Cheese low-fat, shredded
- 1/4 tsp Pepper Flakes or to taste, red
- 1/2 tsp Pizza Seasoning or italian herbs
- 1/2 cup Corn optional, sweet
- 1/2 cup Bell Peppers optional, sliced
- 1/2 cup Mushroom optional, sliced
Instructions
Prepare the Dough
- Mix barley flour, all-purpose flour, salt, and yogurt in a bowl. Gradually add water, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth. Set aside for 15 minutes.
Make the Sauce
- Combine tomatoes, onion, garlic, salt, oregano, and vinegar in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Cook the sauce in a pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the water evaporates.
Cook the Pizza Base
- Roll out a portion of the dough to your desired thickness. Prick it with a fork. Heat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium heat. Cook the base for 2-3 minutes per side, or until lightly golden brown.
Assemble and Bake
- Spread the sauce evenly over the cooked side of the base. Add your desired toppings: sweet corn, bell peppers, mushrooms, and low-fat cheese.
Finish Cooking
- Carefully flip the pizza. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the base is cooked through.
Serve and Enjoy
- Garnish with red pepper flakes and pizza seasoning. Slice and serve immediately.
