Ingredients
For the Okra
- 250 gm Okra also known as bhindi. choose firm, tender okra for best results.
For the Coconut Filling
- 1/2 cup Coconut grated, fresh
- 2 Chilies finely chopped. adjust quantity based on spice preference., green
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder haldi
- 1/4 tsp Chili Powder red
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/8 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/4 tsp Mango Powder amchur powder, adds a tangy flavor, dried
- 1.5 tsp Salt adjust to taste
Other Ingredients
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil or your preferred cooking oil

- Wash the okra thoroughly and pat dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- Trim both ends of each okra pod and carefully slit each pod lengthwise, almost all the way through, creating a pocket for the filling.

- In a medium bowl, combine the ground coconut mixture, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, dried mango powder, and salt. Mix well to create a homogenous stuffing.
