- 1/2 tsp Garlic minced
- 1 Bay Leaf tej patta
- 1 stick Cinnamon
- 3 tsp Fennel Seeds ground
- 1/2 tsp Chili Powder

- 2 Tomatoes chopped, medium
- 200 gm Basmati Rice soaked for at least 30 minutes
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Protein & Fat
- 4 Eggs hard-boiled, peeled
- 4 tbsp Vegetable Oil
Instructions
Preparing the Aromatics
- Heat the oil in a pan or pot. Add the bay leaf and cinnamon stick. Sauté until fragrant.
- Add the sliced onions and cook until lightly browned.
- Stir in the sliced ginger and minced garlic, cooking briefly until fragrant.
Adding the Vegetables and Spices
- Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until softened. Season with salt and chili powder.
Incorporating the Rice
- Add the soaked basmati rice and stir well to coat with the spices and vegetables.
- Pour in 3 cups of water (adjust as needed for your rice). Stir gently.
Simmering and Adding Eggs
- Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat to low. Cover and cook until the rice is almost tender and most of the water is absorbed.
