Expert Tips for the Best Crunchy Sprouted Moong Dal Salad

  • Pre-soaking is key: Soaking the lentils and sprouts overnight ensures they cook evenly and become more digestible.
  • Adjust the crunch: Feel free to add other crunchy elements like roasted chickpeas, sunflower seeds, or chopped cashews.
  • Spice it up: Experiment with other spices like cumin powder, coriander powder, or a pinch of red chili powder for an extra kick.
  • Make it ahead: This salad can be prepared a few hours in advance. Store it in the refrigerator and let it chill before serving. However, adding the lemon juice just before serving helps to maintain freshness.
