Instructions

Prepare the Salmon Marinade

  • Combine mustard sauce, mustard chili oil (or substitute), ginger-garlic paste, dried dill, lemon juice, red pepper flakes, paprika, and salt in a bowl. Add salmon fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate for at least 45 minutes.

Prepare the Soy Filling

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add minced garlic, then add the ground soy chunks, mixed vegetables, and all the remaining soy filling spices (green chili, red chili powder, lemon juice, coriander, black pepper, ginger, flour, chaat masala, salt). Cook until vegetables are tender and the mixture is fragrant. Set aside to cool.

Prepare the Egg Wash

  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, salt, and pepper.

Fry the Salmon Bites

  • Heat oil in a frying pan. Take a marinated salmon fillet, place a spoonful of the cooled soy filling on top, and gently press. Dip the salmon bite first in the egg wash, then in breadcrumbs, ensuring it's fully coated. Fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Repeat with remaining fillets.

Serve

  • Serve the crispy salmon and soy toast bites hot, with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup or mint chutney.
