Bread & Batter
- 4 slices Bread brown, crusts removed
- 1 Egg
- 1 tbsp Corn Flour
- 2 tbsp Milk or water
Seasoning & Spices
- 1/2 tsp Oregano dried flakes
- 1/2 tsp Chili Flakes
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
Cheese & Toppings
- 25 gm Cheese grated (cheddar or mozzarella recommended)
- 1/2 tsp Chili Sauce red
- 1/2 tsp Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise for garnish
- Oil Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Prepare the Batter
- Whisk together the egg, cornflour, milk, oregano, chili flakes, salt, red chili sauce, and tomato ketchup until smooth.
Prepare the Breadsticks
- Cut the brown bread slices into finger-shaped sticks.
Coat and Fry
- Dip each breadstick into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Carefully fry the breadsticks until golden brown and crispy, turning occasionally.
