Instructions

Cook the Pasta

  • Boil the pasta according to package directions, adding salt and half of the MSG to the water. Drain well.

Sauté Aromatics

  • Heat the vegetable oil in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat. Add the minced garlic, red chili flakes, and dill. Sauté for 4-5 minutes, until fragrant and the dill is slightly softened but still bright green. Stir in the remaining MSG and a pinch of salt.

Create the Creamy Sauce

  • Pour in the milk and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the cooked pasta and black pepper. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly. Taste and adjust salt as needed.

Serve

  • Serve the pasta immediately. Garnish with extra dill, if desired.

Recipe Notes

Expert Tips

  • For a richer flavor, use full-fat milk instead of toned milk.
  • Add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end for a burst of freshness.
  • Experiment with other herbs like parsley or cilantro for variations in flavor.
  • If you like a spicier pasta, add more red chili flakes or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
