Instructions
 

Preparing the Spices and Aromatics

  • Heat cooking oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and allow them to splutter. Then, add groundnuts, asafoetida (if using), and turmeric powder. Sauté briefly until fragrant.

Sautéing the Vegetables

  • Add the finely chopped onions and sliced green chilies to the pan. Sauté until the onions turn light brown.

Cooking the Sweet Corn

  • Add the sweet corn kernels to the pan and sauté for about a minute. Add salt, and sprinkle a little water. Cover the pan and cook on low heat for a couple of minutes to allow the corn to steam.

Adding Dill and Finishing

  • Stir in the finely chopped dill leaves and cook for another minute. Remove from heat and add the lemon juice. Mix well.
