Ingredients
For the Dabeli Filling
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 Potato boiled and mashed, medium
- 1 tbsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
- 1 medium Onion finely chopped
- 1 medium Tomato finely chopped
- 1 cup Vegetables and cabbage, carrots, finely chopped bell pepper, mixed
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Chili Sauce
- 1 tsp Dabeli Masala optional
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
For the Garnish
- 0.5 cup Peanuts lightly roasted and seasoned with oil, and dabeli masala (optional), chili powder, roasted, salt
- 0.5 cup Chickpea Noodle crispy chickpea flour noodles, thin
- 0.33 cup Pomegranate Seeds
Instructions
Prepare the Dabeli Filling
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté briefly.
- Add chopped onions and tomatoes; sauté for 2 minutes.
- Add mixed vegetables, mashed potatoes, soy sauce, and chili sauce.
- Season with dabeli masala and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Transfer to a bowl and let it cool.
Prepare the Buns
- Lightly toast the buns with butter or oil.
- Spread a thin layer of chili sauce inside each bun (optional).
Assemble the Dabeli
- Spread the cooled potato and vegetable filling evenly onto one half of each bun.
- Garnish with pomegranate seeds, roasted peanuts, and sev.
- Top with the other bun half and gently press.
