Ingredients
For the Filling
- 4 Potatoes medium size
- 100 gm Cottage Cheese indian cottage cheese
- 2 tbsp Mayonnaise
- 50 gm Cheese grated cheddar or mozzarella
- 100 gm Macaroni cooked according to package directions
- 1/2 cup Peas boiled
- 1 Onion finely chopped
- 2 clove Garlic minced
- 1 Chili finely chopped (adjust to taste)
- 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tsp Garam Masala
- 1 tsp Pepper black, ground
- 1 tsp Oregano dried
For the Samosa Dough
- 1 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp Carom Seeds ajwain
- 1 tbsp Oil for dough, vegetable oil
- Water as needed, to make dough
For Frying
- Vegetable Oil for deep frying
Instructions
Prepare the Filling
- Boil potatoes until tender. Mash well. Meanwhile, cook macaroni according to package directions.
- In a large bowl, combine mashed potatoes, crumbled paneer, cooked macaroni, peas, mayonnaise, grated cheese, chopped onion, minced garlic, chili, garam masala, black pepper, oregano, salt. Mix thoroughly.
Make the Dough
- In a bowl, combine all-purpose flour and carom seeds. Add oil and gradually add water, mixing until a soft, pliable dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth.
- Alternatively, use store-bought samosa pastry sheets.
Assemble and Fry the Samosas
- If using homemade dough, roll it out thinly. Cut into circles or squares. Fill each with the prepared mixture, fold into a cone shape, and crimp the edges to seal.
- If using store-bought sheets, follow package instructions for filling and shaping.
