Ingredients
 

Bread & Cheese

  • 4 slices Bread brown
  • 100 gm Amul Cheese grated (or other cheese of your choice)

Eggs & Seasoning

  • 4 Eggs large
  • 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste
  • 0.5 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground

  • 1 tbsp Butter for greasing the baking tray (optional)

Instructions
 

Prepare the Oven and Bread

  • Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F) for 5 minutes. Lightly grease a baking tray with butter (optional). Arrange the bread slices on the tray.

Create Egg Cavities

  • Using a spoon, gently create a well or cavity in the center of each bread slice, being careful not to break the bread completely.

Crack and Season the Eggs

  • Carefully crack one egg into each cavity, ensuring the yolk remains mostly intact in the center. Season each egg with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Bake the Egg Toast

  • Place the baking tray in the oven's top rack. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the egg whites are set and the yolks are cooked to your liking.

Add Cheese & Finish

  • Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over the egg toast. Return to the oven for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
