Ingredients
 

For the Rice

  • 1 cup Basmati Rice long-grain rice is recommended for best results. cook according to package directions until fluffy.

For the Fish Egg Preparation

  • 500 gm Fish Eggs ensure they are fresh and cleaned. you may substitute with a similar amount of other fish, if preferred.
  • 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil

Spices

  • 2 tbsp Garam Masala includes cardamom pods, black peppercorns, cinnamon sticks, cloves, etc. adjust quantity based on desired intensity., whole
  • 1/2 tsp Garam Masala Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 tsp Nutmeg ground
  • 1.5 tsp Salt or to taste

Instructions
 

Prepare the Fish Eggs

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the fish eggs and cook until lightly browned and cooked through, stirring occasionally. Set aside.

Sauté the Spices

  • In the same pan, add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil. Add the whole garam masala and sauté for a minute until fragrant. Be careful not to burn the spices.

Combine and Serve

  • Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir gently to combine with the sautéed spices. Add the cooked fish eggs, garam masala powder, cinnamon powder, and nutmeg powder. Stir well to ensure everything is evenly distributed. Season with salt to taste. Mix gently and serve hot. Enjoy!
