About Baati Chokha in Clay Oven
Baati chokha litti or baati along with chokha originated from Indian State of Bihar and part of Eastern Uttar Pradesh. This recipe is a full meal. Main attraction is baati. How can we make the baati. In rural areas villagers normally bake with cow dung in open fire. But in urban areas it is not possible. I tried to give a muddy flavour.

Ingredients
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 1 tsp carom seeds
- 1 tbsp Desi Ghee
- ½ cup sattu
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tsp pickle oil
- Chilies (Chopped)
- Salt (to taste)

Instructions
- Make a dough with adding wheat flour, ghee, carom seeds and salt. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
- In other hand make a filling with adding sattu, carom seeds, chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, chopped fresh green chillies, pickle oil and salt.
- Mix all together and keep aside. Now divide the dough in equal parts and stuff with the filling.
- Preheat the muddy oven then keep banana leaves and bake the baati.
- After a few minutes turn other side. Now cut in center and drop little ghee.
- Serve with any chokha. Either roasted potatoes or brinjal.
- I roasted tomato and prepared the chokha with onion, green chilies and salt.
