For the Paniyaram

  • 2 cup Appam Batter store-bought or homemade; farmz@familiez brand recommended. you can also add curry leaves and mustard seeds for extra flavor.
  • 1 tsp Salt or to taste

For the Manchurian Sauce

Prepare the Paniyaram

  • Add salt to the appam batter and mix well.
  • Preheat a paniyaram pan and add 2-3 drops of oil to each mold.
  • Pour batter into each mold, cover, and cook over medium heat until golden brown.
  • Flip and cook the other side until golden and crispy.
  • Transfer cooked paniyaram to a serving bowl.

Make the Manchurian Sauce

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add grated ginger, sliced onions, and chopped bell peppers. Sauté for 1 minute over medium heat.
  • Add soy sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
  • Add the cooked paniyaram to the pan and toss gently to coat in the sauce.
  • Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
