Ingredients
For the Paniyaram
- 2 cup Appam Batter store-bought or homemade; farmz@familiez brand recommended. you can also add curry leaves and mustard seeds for extra flavor.
- 1 tsp Salt or to taste
For the Manchurian Sauce
- 1 cup Bell Peppers chopped
- 1 Onion large, sliced
- 1/4 cup Spring Onions chopped, for garnish
- 1 tbsp Ginger grated
- 1/2 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Tomato Sauce
- 1/2 tsp Vinegar white
- 1/4 tsp Pepper black, freshly ground
- 3 tbsp Oil vegetable or canola oil
Instructions
Prepare the Paniyaram
- Add salt to the appam batter and mix well.
- Preheat a paniyaram pan and add 2-3 drops of oil to each mold.
- Pour batter into each mold, cover, and cook over medium heat until golden brown.
- Flip and cook the other side until golden and crispy.
- Transfer cooked paniyaram to a serving bowl.
Make the Manchurian Sauce
- Heat oil in a pan. Add grated ginger, sliced onions, and chopped bell peppers. Sauté for 1 minute over medium heat.
- Add soy sauce, tomato sauce, vinegar, and salt. Mix well.
- Add the cooked paniyaram to the pan and toss gently to coat in the sauce.
- Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper.
Garnish and Serve
- Garnish with chopped spring onions.
