- 0.5 tsp Garam Masala

- 0.25 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 0.5 tsp Salt or to taste
- 1 tbsp Oil preferably mustard oil or neutral oil, plus extra for brushing
Instructions
- These air fryer paneer tikka bites deliver big flavor with minimal effort. Just marinate, air fry, and enjoy!
How to make Paneer Tikka Bites in Air Fryer
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together thick yogurt, roasted besan, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chilli powder, garam masala, cumin powder, turmeric powder, salt, and 1 tbsp oil until smooth.
- Add paneer cubes, onion petals, and diced capsicum to the marinade. Gently toss to coat everything well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes for best flavor (up to 1 hour if you have time).
- Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (390°F) for 2 minutes. Arrange the marinated paneer and veggies in a single layer (use skewers or a lined basket). Brush lightly with oil for extra crispness.
- Air fry at 200°C for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket or turning skewers halfway for even browning. The paneer should be lightly charred and the vegetables crisp-tender. Do not overcook to keep paneer soft.
- Let cool slightly. Serve hot, garnished with lemon wedges and chopped coriander. Pair with mint chutney or tomato ketchup for the perfect quick snack.
Recipe Notes
Good To Know
- Paneer is rich in protein and calcium, making this snack filling and nutritious for all ages.
- Besan (chickpea flour) helps the marinade stick to the paneer and gives it a restaurant-style texture.
Expert Tips
- For a smoked flavor, use a drop of mustard oil or briefly smoke with a charcoal piece in the marination bowl before air frying.
- You can swap in tofu for vegan bites!
- Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes to avoid burning if using.
- Add more veggies like cherry tomatoes or zucchini for variety.
Storage Instructions
- Leftover tikka bites stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- Reheat in air fryer at 180°C (350°F) for 2–3 minutes to retain texture.
- Do not freeze, as paneer may become crumbly.
