Dry Mushroom Matar recipe is one of the most tasty flavoursome vegetable dish from North India.

Ingredients
  

  • Mushroom – 1 Cup sliced
  • Frozen Peas – ½ Cup frozen
  • Oil – 2 tbsp
  • Cinnamon Stick – 1 inch
  • Onion – 1 finely chopped
  • Ginger & Garlic Paste – ½ tsp
  • Tomatoes – 2 chopped
  • Red Chili Powder – ¾ tsp
  • Salt
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder – ½ tsp
  • Cumin Seeds – 1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – 1/3 tsp
  • Fresh Coriander Leaves – 2 tbsp chopped
  • Spring onions – 2 to garnish
  • Cashewnut Paste – 2 tbsp

Instructions
 

  • Heat oil in a kadhai. Add cumin seeds, cinnamon stick, ginger & garlic paste. Now add chopped onions. Saute until they turn golden brown.
  • Now add mushrooms and saute it until they are tender. Add peas, red chili powder, turmeric powder, salt, coriander powder, garam masala powder, tomatoes, cashewnut paste. Mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes. Now add chopped coriander and mix it.
  • Garnish with spring onions and serve hot with roti or naan.
