Ragi Kara Kozhukattai
A healthy breakfast recipe to start your day. This is the first time I am making kozhukattai with ragi.

Ingredients
- 1 cup Ragi Flour
- 1 cup Grated Coconut
- 1 Onion â finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger â finely chopped
- 1 Green Chillies â finely chopped
- 1/2 leaves Coriander â finally chopped
- 2 leaves Curry â springs chopped
- 1/4 cup Capsicum â finely chopped
- 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds â
- 1 tbsp Urad Dal â
- 1 gm Bengal Gram €“ 1 Tbsp bengal â
- 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
- 2 tbsp Oil â
- Water As Needed

Instructions
- Seasoning: heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, onion sauté till soft.
- Add ginger, green chilli, capsicum & curry leaves sauté. Then cut off heat.
- Take ragi flour, grated coconut, salt, coriander leaves, & seasoned ingredients in a bowl and mix well, then sprinkle water & make soft dough.
- Take a lemon size of dough and make kolukattai (using your five fingers).
- Then steam it for 10 minutes in a steamer (idli cooker or idli koppar) & serve hot with tomato tamarind chutney
