Ingredients
 

  • 1 cup Ragi Flour
  • 1 cup Grated Coconut
  • 1 Onion â finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Ginger â finely chopped
  • 1 Green Chillies â finely chopped
  • 1/2 leaves Coriander â finally chopped
  • 2 leaves Curry â springs chopped
  • 1/4 cup Capsicum â finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp Mustard Seeds â
  • 1 tbsp Urad Dal â
  • 1 gm Bengal Gram €“ 1 Tbsp bengal â
  • 1-2 tsp Salt or as per taste
  • 2 tbsp Oil â
  • Water As Needed

Instructions
 

  • Seasoning: heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds & let it splutter. Then add Bengal gram, urad dal, onion sauté till soft.
  • Add ginger, green chilli, capsicum & curry leaves sauté. Then cut off heat.
  • Take ragi flour, grated coconut, salt, coriander leaves, & seasoned ingredients in a bowl and mix well, then sprinkle water & make soft dough.
  • Take a lemon size of dough and make kolukattai (using your five fingers).
  • Then steam it for 10 minutes in a steamer (idli cooker or idli koppar) & serve hot with tomato tamarind chutney
